From running through the night along trails and rocky slopes to the lively rhythm of an early-morning run, Yên Tử Ultra Trail 2026 created an emotionally rich sporting journey through a heritage region over 3 days, from 4-6/9. Nearly 2,000 athletes took part in 5 distances, from 5km to 70km, tackling varied terrain amid the mountains and forests of Yên Tử.
On the morning of 6/9, around 1,200 athletes competed in the two distances, Hành Giả 15km and Bồ Đề 5km, bringing the event to a close in Yên Tử’s autumn weather. Earlier, the 25km, 50km, and 70km distances had challenged athletes with forest trails, rocky slopes, and demanding climbs.
Along routes winding through bamboo forests, mountain slopes, and distinctive trails, every stride was not only a test of endurance but also a journey of discovery through the landscapes, culture, and unique heritage of Yên Tử. Moments of sprinting, climbing, crossing the finish line, and sharing the experience made for an emotionally rich race, while helping promote Yên Tử’s appeal and develop sports tourism in this heritage region. It was a memorable race in which the spirit of sport blended with Yên Tử’s natural beauty, culture, and spirituality, while helping promote the appeal of sports tourism in Quảng Ninh.
Early on the morning of 6/9, hundreds of athletes gathered at the courtyard of Làng Nương communal house, ready for the 15km and 5km distances—the final two races and the most popular events.
Behind them, athletes warmed up and got their bodies ready before setting off on the course.

As soon as the starting signal sounded, the athletes picked up speed on the course. The autumn weather and cool early-morning air in the sacred mountains helped the athletes feel more comfortable and energized. Leaving Làng Nương, the athletes went on to tackle a series of challenges. They ran through Yên Tử National Forest.
