Quang Ninh Launches “Hello, New City” Tourism-Stimulus Week
The Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 380/KH-UBND, dated 18/8/2026, on organizing a tourism-stimulus week to celebrate Quang Ninh City and the 2026 autumn-winter tourism-stimulus program.
Under the communications theme “Quang Ninh City, Rising with Its Heritage,” the program will run from August through the end of December 2026, in two phases tied to key dates.

Phase 1 runs from August to September 2026, with its peak linked to the announcement of Quang Ninh becoming a centrally governed city and the 81st anniversary of the success of the August Revolution (19/8/1945 - 19/8/2026) and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (2/9/1945 - 2/9/2026).
The tourism-stimulus week celebrating Quang Ninh City will take place from 24/8 to 5/9, featuring a series of special events. Highlights include the special artistic program “Quang Ninh - A City Shining with the Future,” expected to draw 100,000 spectators, and a drone light show on the evening of 28/8 at 30/10 Square; as well as an artistic light show by tourist boats in Ha Long Bay, featuring 50-100 boats parading along the coastal route from 26 to 28/8.

From 28/8 to 2/9, visitors can experience 3D mapping projections at the Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace, enjoy food at Tran Quoc Nghien Street, and shop at the Quang Ninh OCOP Autumn-Winter Fair.
The tourism-stimulus week will also feature street performances and beach sports at Bai Chay and Tuan Chau, along with the Halo Bay Show, VuiFest Night Market, and nightly artistic fireworks displays. Other events include the Northern Region Vovinam Championship (27-30/8), the Open Sports Dance - Zumba Competition (25-29/8), the Yen Tu Ultra Trail (21-23/8), and the “Together, Vietnam Moves Forward” walk on 30/8.
Phase 2 of the Quang Ninh tourism-stimulus program will run throughout the fourth quarter (October - December 2026), focusing on the peak period for the province's founding anniversary (30/10) and year-end festivals. Featured events will include the Yen Tu Autumn Festival, Binh Lieu Then Festival, the Quang Ninh Food Festival, and a Quang Ninh - Guangxi food culture exchange. Visitors can take part in the Ha Long Heritage International Marathon and the Global Gate Halong ESG++ running event.
The province will host the National Green Tourism Forum and the Autumn Regional Specialties Exhibition. Throughout this phase, popular weekly events at Bai Chay will continue, including the Halo Bay Show water music performance, VuiFest Night Market, and artistic fireworks, culminating in a Countdown celebration to welcome 2027 on the evening of 30/12.
