Thanks to its unrivaled feng shui, this spiritual architectural complex was named Bao Hai Linh Thong Tu by Most Venerable Thich Tri Tinh - Deputy Dharma Master of the Patron Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha. This name conveys the meaning of a sacred pagoda built amidst verdant pine hills, functioning as a treasured guardian of the dragon vein for the coastal city of Ha Long. From here, visitors can take in the complete beauty of the sea bay alongside the expansive, tranquil cityscape.

Bao Hai Linh Thong Tu covers a total area of 4,000m2, comprising various structures: the Three-Entrance Gate, Bell Tower, Bronze Gong Tower, Main Sanctuary, Ancestral House, Mother Goddess Shrine, left and right corridors, and the Five Directions Precious Stupa. All were constructed in the traditional architectural style of ancient Vietnamese pagodas from around the 17th and 18th centuries.

Meanwhile, the Five Directions Precious Stupa stands as the centerpiece of the Bao Hai Linh Thong Tu complex, centrally positioned, assembled from monolithic granite, and shaped following the Five Dhyani Buddhas model. The 5 stupas here symbolize the 5 cardinal directions: East, West, South, North, and Center; representing the 5 Buddha families: Ratna, Padma, Vajra, Karma, and Buddha; and signifying the 5 colors: Blue, Red, Yellow, White, and Black.

The central stupa consists of 9 tiers, reaching a height of 25.2 meters, enshrining the Buddha inside along with a 4-meter-tall Buddhist sutra pillar modeled after an original 1,000-year-old Buddhist sutra pillar. Visitors coming to Ba Vang Mountain stop by the Five Directions Precious Stupa to offer incense and pray for peace, health, luck, and success. Meanwhile, the four surrounding stupas are each designed with 5 tiers, measuring 12.1 meters in height.
