On the morning of September 7, the Van Don Special Zone People's Committee held a meeting to discuss and agree on preparations for the Aqua Warriors Van Don 2026 Aquathlon, a two-discipline swimming and running event. Mr. Dao Van Vu, Standing Vice Chairman of the Special Zone People's Committee, chaired the meeting.

The Aqua Warriors Van Don 2026 Aquathlon, a two-discipline swimming and running event, will be held over two days, September 12 and 13, 2026. It is organized by Bolt Event Joint Stock Company in coordination with Van Don Tourism Investment and Development Company (CEO) at the Sonasea Van Don Harbor City resort complex in Van Don Special Zone. The event will welcome 2,500 athletes, including 70 international participants, competing in running and swimming across 8 distances.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and agreed on matters concerning coordination, preparations, and the organization of the Aqua Warriors Van Don 2026 event, including the involvement of the teams responsible for security, healthcare, infrastructure, the environment, communications, and event organization.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Dao Van Vu, Standing Vice Chairman of the Special Zone People's Committee, asked the relevant agencies and units to proactively coordinate closely with the event organizer and carefully review all arrangements for Aqua Warriors Van Don 2026. Particular attention should be paid to public order and security, traffic safety, healthcare, rescue and emergency response, environmental sanitation, food safety, and the facilities and infrastructure required for the event.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Special Zone People's Committee asked the event organizing committee to review all waterways and roads along the event routes and make thorough preparations to ensure the event is safe, professional, and successful. This will help promote Van Don's image and tourism potential while supporting the development of tourism and services in the area.
