Comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh Province, launches the emulation campaign to celebrate Quang Ninh’s goal of becoming a centrally governed city
Speaking at the event, Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh Province, affirmed that the launch was not only the opening activity for the province-wide emulation campaign, but also a meaningful political initiative intended to strongly inspire pride, self-reliance, resilience, national solidarity, and a spirit of dedication among every official, Party member, Youth Union member, association member, and resident of the province’s ethnic communities, as Quang Ninh approaches a milestone of special significance in its development: becoming a centrally governed city.
“...Becoming a centrally governed city is not the end of a period of development, but the beginning of a new journey with higher standards and greater aspirations, built on social consensus, the strength of national unity, and the sense of responsibility, shared effort, and solidarity of every official, Party member, and resident of Quang Ninh,” emphasized Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh Province.

Through the campaign, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and member organizations across the province will continue to promote their role in bringing people together and mobilizing them, harness the strength of national unity, and carry out practical projects and initiatives that help promote Quang Ninh’s image, culture, and people.
The emulation campaign will run from now until the end of December 2026, focusing on three key areas: stepping up communications to spread pride and aspirations for building Quang Ninh into a city; carrying out commemorative projects and initiatives, prioritizing social welfare, improvements to urban areas and residential neighborhoods, environmental protection, digital transformation, and innovation; and organizing cultural, arts, and sports activities to promote local identity and showcase Quang Ninh.
To achieve the shared goals, the campaign has set specific targets: 100% of units will hold political activities under the theme “Aspiring to build a prosperous, civilized, modern, and happy Quang Ninh City”; each unit will register at least one commemorative project or initiative; all 54 of the province’s localities will organize a Residential Neighborhood Singing Festival and at least one cultural, arts, or sports activity linked to promoting Quang Ninh, while also participating effectively in the short-video contest “Quang Ninh – A New Vision.”

In addition, all residential neighborhoods will maintain weekend environmental cleanups and take part in the Urban Cleaning and Improvement Week from August 21 to 28; all communes, wards, and special zones will hold monthly “Listening to the People” activities; and the 2026 National Great Unity Day will be celebrated simultaneously on Sunday, November 15, 2026.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh Province has called on localities and units to select projects and initiatives suited to local conditions, with tangible outcomes and clearly identified beneficiaries, while encouraging direct public participation and ensuring lasting impact beyond the campaign. It also called for stronger monitoring and follow-up, and for outstanding models and examples to be promptly recognized and expanded, helping build momentum for emulation throughout the province as Quang Ninh celebrates becoming a centrally governed city.
To ensure the campaign becomes part of everyday life and delivers practical results, Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh Province, called on units and localities to continue stepping up communications and inspiring pride in the tradition of “Discipline and Unity,” self-reliance, resilience, aspirations for development, and a spirit of dedication to Quang Ninh. He also called for widespread political activities under the theme “Aspiring to build a prosperous, civilized, modern, and happy Quang Ninh City,” creating momentum and broad engagement throughout society.

Delegates press the button to officially launch the emulation campaign
Localities, agencies, and units should proactively register and implement practical projects and initiatives aligned with their political responsibilities and patriotic emulation campaigns. Priority should be given to areas that directly serve residents, such as urban improvements; building green, clean, beautiful, and safe residential neighborhoods; environmental protection; community-based digital transformation; social welfare; promoting a civilized way of life; maintaining public security and order; and preserving Quang Ninh’s cultural values.
Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ninh Province, also noted that implementation must be substantive and effective. Every project and initiative must deliver tangible benefits to residents, bring clear improvements in practice, and have a positive impact throughout the community. Practical results and public satisfaction should be the measures of success, while formalism, showmanship, and the pursuit of achievements for their own sake must be resolutely avoided.
Emphasizing that Quang Ninh’s success is demonstrated not only by its projects and development targets, but also by public trust, social consensus, and the strength of national unity, Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, called on the Fatherland Front and its member organizations to continue playing a leading role in strengthening national unity; enhancing communications and public outreach; promoting democracy, social oversight, and social feedback; and promptly understanding residents’ concerns and aspirations, thereby building social consensus and strengthening public trust in the Party and the State. He also called for continued efforts to advance patriotic emulation campaigns and initiatives launched by the Fatherland Front in conjunction with studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, and style; to expand innovative models and approaches and recognize outstanding examples; and to promote positive values while building an image of Quang Ninh residents as civilized, compassionate, dynamic, and creative.
