Quang Ninh is one of the easiest destinations for travelers to pack the wrong luggage for. You could be standing in the middle of a sea bay in the morning, trekking mountain paths in Yen Tu the next day, and facing chilly winds in the highlands of Binh Lieu a few days later. Therefore, do not pack based on the province's name. Pack according to the terrain.

Winds on the boat deck can make the temperature feel cooler than in the city, especially in the early morning or late afternoon. If you are taking an overnight cruise, prepare a separate small bag instead of hauling a large suitcase up and down repeatedly.
For Yen Tu
Shoes are more important than pretty outfits. Choose shoes with good grip that are already broken in. Clothing should be modest, comfortable, and respectful of the spiritual setting. Recommended:
-
Light jacket.
-
Water.
-
Tissues.
-
Small backpack.
-
Compact raincoat.
-
A layer of clothing that can be added or removed as the temperature changes with altitude.
There is no need to bring too much food for a short trip, but do not rely solely on sugary drinks either.
For Binh Lieu
In autumn and winter, the temperature difference between daytime and early morning/night can catch those who only packed for photo shoots by surprise. Recommended:
-
Warm jacket.
-
Windbreaker.
-
Trekking shoes or sneakers with good traction.
-
Extra socks.
-
Raincoat.
-
Power bank.
-
Offline map.
-
Water.
-
A few energy snacks.
When traveling along border routes, never cross barriers, enter restricted areas, or deviate from permitted paths just to take photos.
If visiting all three terrains
Use the layering principle – wear multiple light layers instead of bringing one extremely heavy coat. One pair of good shoes + one pair of sandals is usually more useful than three pairs of fashion shoes.
