Yên Trung Lake is not only a large freshwater lake, but is also surrounded by pine-covered hills and long roads, making it an ideal place for visitors to enjoy the lush greenery of nature. There are not many shops and it is not as bustling as other tourist destinations; here, visitors can simply listen to the pine trees rustling in the wind and admire the unique vegetation.

The first impression visitors have upon arriving here is the refreshing green of the vast lake and the gentle green of the straight rows of horsetail pines embracing the winding road. Visitors can listen to the pines rustling and admire the calm lake with barely a ripple.

In the middle of Yên Trung Lake are small, green-covered islands. During the rainy season, the lake reaches a maximum depth of about 13m; in the dry season, it is about 6m deep. The air around the lake is usually cool and fresh. Visitors can take a boat to the middle of the lake and camp on the small islands, enjoying the romantic setting with family and friends.

What delights many visitors here is the refreshing feeling of enjoying the scenery of mountains, water, and sky. Dubbed a miniature Đà Lạt, the lake still retains a relatively pristine landscape, especially its pine forests. The straight rows of trees cast their reflections on the lake, making the scenery look like an ink-wash painting.

In 2018, Yên Trung Lake was equipped with a lighting system, water system, gates, fences, landscaped grounds, roads, and a parking area. In addition, investment was directed toward various landscaped attractions, such as the Garden of Eden, Love Bridge, Moon-Watching Pavilion, and the Yên Trung Lake lettering on the floating island.

In particular, Yên Trung Lake has been recognized as a provincial-level ecotourism area.
