Tuan Chau International Tourist Area – a recreational paradise in the heritage region
Tuan Chau International Tourist Area features the world’s largest artificial yacht harbor, forming an important gateway for journeys to explore the world wonder of Ha Long Bay and the Cat Ba Archipelago Biosphere Reserve.
The Tuan Chau ferry system, resorts, indoor and outdoor entertainment areas, artificial beach and more have also become attractions for visitors. The tourist area has helped enhance the shimmering appearance of Ha Long Bay, bringing it closer to the world.

Tuan Chau International Tourist Area includes the following facilities: the Tuan Chau–Cat Ba ferry, a system of resort hotels, Vietnam’s longest artificial beach, Quang Ninh’s premier entertainment complex, a club featuring dolphin, seal and sea lion performances, and modern outdoor rides.

Tuan Chau–Cat Ba Ferry
The Tuan Chau–Cat Ba ferry service began operating in 2009 and is an important waterway linking the two heritage areas of Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Island. During the peak tourist season, the ferry can operate 30 to 34 trips per day. The ferries are regularly refurbished and newly built, and equipped with safety equipment.
During the ferry ride along this unique sea route, visitors can admire the captivating beauty of Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay.

Accommodation Resort System
Stretching along the beach leading to the center of the Tuan Chau International Tourist Area is the Tuan Chau Holiday Villa hotel system, an upscale resort with nearly 1,000 rooms meeting international 4-star standards. It is also the only place in Ha Long offering a full range of entertainment, leisure and resort services, as well as the most convenient access to Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Island.
Tuan Chau Holiday Villa blends Vietnamese and French architectural styles. Pine-hill villas, hillside villas and beachfront villas are interspersed among rows of coconut palms, pine forests and flower-covered lawns, creating a space that harmonizes with the beauty of Ha Long Bay.
Vietnam’s Longest Artificial Beach
Tuan Chau Beach has been renovated and expanded, with a smooth white-sand beach stretching for more than 6km. The beach was created using millions of cubic meters of carefully screened white sand brought from Tra Co, Co To and Van Don.
Along the beach is an automatic freshwater bathing area with shelters, rows of seats and free loungers. The artificial beach is also an ideal place for water sports and games for large groups. It also hosts the annual Asian Women’s Beach Volleyball Tournament.
Entertainment Complex
Located in the center of Tuan Chau International Tourist Area, the entertainment complex covers more than 100ha. The entertainment area has become a familiar destination for many visitors. The entrance is lined with more than 200m of cool green trees planted as commemorative trees by ministers and embassies of ASEAN countries.
Here, visitors can enjoy unique entertainment services such as dolphin shows; water puppetry; human and animal circus performances; water, music and laser light shows; indoor games and more.
Dolphin, Seal and Sea Lion Performances
The dolphins, brought from the waters of Japan and South Australia, and the seals and sea lions, brought from the Gulf of Alaska, are trained to become intelligent and amusing circus performers.

Notable performances include seals spinning hoops and dancing; dolphins competing to retrieve balls and performing acrobatics; and sea lions painting and waving hello amid the water.
Modern Outdoor Rides
Fly Away – King of Game is one of four new rides now available in Vietnam. This is an exhilarating thrill ride that offers the sensation of flying through the air, immersed in the sunshine and breezes of the bay.
The Apollo ride stands 36m high, allowing players to experience space exploration through increasingly elevated rotations and weightless drops like those aboard the Apollo spacecraft.
There is also the love-themed carousel, as well as rides for children and attractions that give visitors the sensation of soaring through the air amid beautiful, romantic scenery.
