Sun Carnival Square – the “Sun” on Ha Long Bay
To develop tourism in Ha Long over the long term and sustainably, it is not enough to rely solely on world natural heritage sites; the area must also build and develop recreational and entertainment facilities. Among the notable developments in Ha Long, it is impossible not to mention the square Sun Carnival also known as Sun Square.
It is located right in the heart of the bustling city, next to Bai Chay Beach. Sun Carnival covers up to 13ha and features a series of fashionable facilities, including a 25,000-square-meter outdoor theater, a 1,550-square-meter water music stage, an 18,000-square-meter Ornamental landscaped garden, and a performance stage with seating for more than 6,000 people.
In particular, the large and spectacular food street extends across an area of 5.4ha. The food street is designed as a culinary and nighttime entertainment complex, featuring four signature restaurants—a seafood restaurant, beer garden, fast-food restaurant, and café—as well as 92 stalls offering a diverse selection of regional specialties from Asia to Europe. This food street operates to international standards and is open daily from 16:00-23:00.
