Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy
The Temple of Literature is located in Dong Da District, Hanoi, right in the middle of four main streets: Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ton Duc Thang, Van Mieu, and Quoc Tu Giam. This is a relic complex of our country's first university, which is not only a historical and cultural relic but also a place where many candidates and students come to pray for good luck in exams and studies.

The Temple of Literature was built in 1070 during the reign of King Ly Thanh Tong as a place to worship Confucius, the Duke of Zhou, and the Four Sages. In 1076, King Ly Nhan Tong established the Imperial Academy next to it as a university exclusively for royal children and noble families. By the reign of King Tran Thai Tong, the Imperial Academy was renamed the “National Academy” and began admitting children of commoners who had outstanding academic abilities.

The Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy consists of several small architectural structures inside, surrounded by walls. Having weathered numerous historical upheavals, the complex has undergone multiple restorations. To this day, it continues to attract a very large number of tourists for visits.

Ba Dinh Square
Ba Dinh Square is located on Hung Vuong Street and is where the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum was built. The square has also been the venue for many momentous historical events, most notably September 2, 1945, when President Ho Chi Minh read the “Declaration of Independence,” giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

One Pillar Pagoda (Mat Pagoda)
One Pillar Pagoda, also known as Mat Pagoda or “Dien Huu Tu”, is a pagoda situated in the heart of Hanoi capital with unique architecture featuring a lotus pavilion in the center. It was built during the reign of King Ly Thai Tong. Since its construction, the pagoda has been preserved and has undergone numerous major restorations, most notably the 1954 restoration after being blown up by the French.

This is a creative architectural work combining an architectural space of varying heights and rhythms, featuring sculptures, paintings, corridor carvings, and water surfaces as symbols of high culture and art with a strong national identity. Bai Dinh Pagoda is located at the western gateway of the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital relic area, along National Highway 38B, in Gia Sinh Commune – Gia Vien – Ninh Binh, 15 km from Ninh Binh City and to the north of the Trang An World Heritage Site. It can be said that this is one of the largest pagoda complexes and holds numerous records.

The Bai Dinh Pagoda complex comprises an ancient pagoda area and a new pagoda area built starting in 2003. The pagoda is perched on a mountainside, amidst vast valleys of lakes and rocky mountains at the western entrance to the ancient capital of Hoa Lu. The new pagoda's architecture is grand and imposing, yet imbued with traditional identity. Therefore, this place quickly became a famous destination.
