To offer diverse and appealing experiences for visitors while promoting its tourism brand, Quang Ninh Province will organize a series of events to stimulate autumn-winter tourism in 2026 under the theme: “Quang Ninh City, Reaching New Heights Alongside Heritage.”
The program is divided into two phases associated with key milestones. Phase 1 takes place in August and September, coinciding with the announcement of Quang Ninh becoming a city and the commemoration of the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution on 19/8 (1945-2026) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on 2/9 (1945-2026). Phase 2 takes place from October to December, marking the peak period for celebrations of the province’s founding anniversary (30/10), year-end festivals, Christmas and New Year 2027.
In the immediate future, the province will organize a tourism stimulus and city inauguration week called “Quang Ninh - Welcome to the New City,” taking place from 24/8 to 5/9. The event will feature many special incentives; promotional programs for accommodation, dining and sightseeing services; and the reception of famtrip and presstrip groups to survey tourism in Quang Ninh. It will also connect with the province’s cultural and sports events, as well as those organized by departments, agencies and localities.
In particular, Quang Ninh will organize a series of outstanding cultural and artistic events. The highlight will be a special art program for an audience of approximately 100,000, broadcast live on television at 20:10 on 28/8 in the area around 30/10 Square and Tran Quoc Nghien coastal road (Ha Long Ward and Hong Gai Ward).
At the same time, activities will take place simultaneously, including a light show featuring more than 70 tourist boats on Ha Long Bay Heritage Site from 26-28/8; a drone light show at 30/10 Square on 28/8; 3D Mapping projections on the exterior of the Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace from 28/8 to 2/9; and a food space along Tran Quoc Nghien Road on 27 and 28/8 to promote local culinary culture and specialties for residents and visitors.
On this occasion, Quang Ninh will also organize the Quang Ninh OCOP Fair – Autumn-Winter 2026 from 27/8 to 6/9 at the Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace, along with sports, recreational and entertainment activities at the beaches in the Bai Chay and Tuan Chau beach areas. In addition, programs including Halo Bay Show, Vui Fest night market and artistic fireworks will continue to take place on days throughout the week for residents and visitors.
As part of this year’s autumn-winter tourism stimulus activities, Quang Ninh is developing two signature programs. The “Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu Heritage Passport” will focus on programs and products associated with Ha Long Bay World Natural Heritage Site; the cultural heritage of the Yen Tu historical and scenic relic complex; the Bach Dang relic site; Quang Ninh Museum; traditional craft villages across the province; and vouchers for culinary experiences and the province’s OCOP products. The “Quang Ninh - Festival Rendezvous” program will focus on products associated with cultural, artistic and light activity series, combined with other cultural, artistic, physical education and sports, and tourism activities to attract the attention of visitors and residents and stimulate demand for sightseeing and accommodation.
In addition, numerous events will be organized from now until the end of the year to create a vibrant atmosphere and attract visitors, including the Quang Ninh, Vietnam - Guangxi, China cultural, artistic, tourism and culinary event; the Quang Ninh Culinary Festival; the Yen Tu Autumn Festival; sports, martial arts and mass dance competitions; and art programs strongly reflecting the regional and ethnic identity of Quang Ninh Province…
Through this series of cultural, sports, culinary and artistic events and festivals, visitors will enjoy new, diverse and appealing experiences. At the same time, the quality of tourism products and services will be improved, digital technology applications will be accelerated, and the quality of service and visitor experiences will be enhanced. In addition, the province will maintain its growth momentum and strengthen efforts to attract tourists during the autumn-winter season of 2026, striving to achieve the 2026 target of welcoming 23 million visitors and generating approximately 70,000 billion VND in total tourism revenue. This will contribute to promoting the image and tourism brand of Quang Ninh, strongly affirming the message “Quang Ninh Tourism - Safe, Friendly, Appealing, Professional,” as well as its position as a leading destination in Vietnam and the region.
