1 Overview of Sun World

Sun World is an international-standard amusement park covering an area of up to 214ha. This exciting destination comprises two main areas: a seaside complex right beside the beautiful Bai Chay Beach in Ha Long and an entertainment complex atop Ba Deo Hill. Its state-of-the-art, world-class rides and all the exciting experiences ahead are sure to thrill you.

At Sun World, visitors can enjoy exciting experiences at Dragon Park, a world of thrilling rides featuring Vietnam’s biggest roller coaster; Typhoon Water Park; the Ba Deo Hill entertainment area; the dining and shopping area; and the chance to unwind on Ha Long Beach, with its clear blue water and fine white sand.

The ideal time to visit Sun World is from March to November. The weather is relatively warm during this period, making it perfect for visitors to spend their entire vacation at the park. Keep in mind that winter is not the best time to visit: Ha Long Bay and Sun World are both in northern Vietnam, where winters are very cold, making outdoor activities less suitable.

2 How to get to Sun World

There are many ways to get to Sun World. Visitors can travel by private vehicle, such as a motorbike or car, or take public transport, including buses and coaches. Motorbikes are the most popular choice because they make it easy to get around and continue on to other attractions.

If you are unfamiliar with the roads, taking a coach is a good option. Departing from Hanoi, you can take a coach to Quang Ninh with operators such as Kumho, Phuc Xuyen, and Duc Phuc, departing from My Dinh Bus Station. Alternatively, you can take any bus displaying a Quang Ninh destination, such as Mong Cai, Cam Pha, or Cua Ong. For a more convenient trip when traveling in a group, you can take a limousine with door-to-door pickup and drop-off.

When you reach the Ao Ca intersection in Bai Chay, Ha Long, get off and take a taxi or bus for the rest of the journey to Sun World. The entertainment complex is only about 3km to 4km from here.

3 What makes Sun World so exciting?

3.1 Ride the Queen Cable Car and explore Sun World

One of the most exciting experiences visitors should not miss at Sun World is riding the Queen Cable Car and admiring the beauty of Ha Long Bay from above. On its opening day, the cable car received two Guinness World Records: the world’s largest cable car cabins (230 passengers) and the world’s tallest cable car tower (188,88 m).

The cable car takes visitors from the Bai Chay seaside entertainment area to Mystic Hill. Unlike other cable cars, the Queen Cable Car features two cabins designed to look like suspended double-decker buses. Each cabin can carry up to 230 passengers per trip, and the ride to the mystical hill takes only about 5 minutes.
