Marking the 89th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Mining Region Workers - the Coal Industry Tradition, on the evening of 12/11, at October 30 Square, the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee organized the special political-artistic program “Quang Ninh - Heroic Mining Land”. The program was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Comrade Bui Van Khang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Comrade Vu Anh Tuan, President and CEO of Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV).
Leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Quang Ninh province followed the program.
The political-artistic program “Quang Ninh - Heroic Mining Land” was a continuous journey from the past to the future of Quang Ninh - a land where “Discipline and Unity” is not merely a historic slogan, but a spirit and a pioneering flame illuminating today's development journey. From “coal deep underground” - a symbol of strength and resilience - to “light and aspiration” - symbols of innovation, creativity and leadership. This was a political-artistic-technological symphony honoring the heroic tradition, the present strength and the future aspirations of the people of the mining region. At the same time, it was a profound tribute to generations of mine workers and a proud song about the resilient, creative, compassionate and pioneering people of Quang Ninh.
The program was imbued with the distinctive colors and imprint of Quang Ninh's mining region.
The program “Quang Ninh - Heroic Mining Land” carried the theme “From ‘Discipline and Unity’ to ‘The Aspiration to Lead’” and comprised three continuous chapters, connected by an unbroken emotional flow: Chapter 1: From the depths of the earth - the flame of faith; Chapter 2: Discipline - Unity: The source of strength; Chapter 3: Quang Ninh - The aspiration to rise in the new era.
Songs about the mining region created an atmosphere filled with emotion and pride for the audience.
The program blended music, circus, reportage and contemporary performances, bringing together a lineup of leading artists. The 30,000 audience members present, including many generations of officials, workers and miners, joined their voices, shared the same heartbeat and shared the pride of singing Quang Ninh's signature song “I Am a Miner” with singers Trong Tan and Do Hoang Hiep; “Together We March, Red Guards” performed by Oplus; and “The Party Is the Worker's Spring” sung by Trong Tan… In particular, the audience seemed to erupt with emotion as they relived the heroic, indomitable atmosphere through the songs “Heroic Mining Land” and “Love Song of the Miner”, performed in the warm, majestic voice of People's Artist Quang Tho.
The fireworks finale after the opening performance sent the audience into an ecstatic celebration.
The program also welcomed the return of several young singers from the mining region, including Den and Bich Phuong, along with other renowned singers such as Ho Ngoc Ha, Hoang Thuy Linh, Toc Tien, Truc Nhan, (S)Trong Trong Hieu and Quang Hung MasterD… A series of popular “hits”, including “Tu Phu”, “See Tinh”, “Vi Nha”, “Mang Tien Ve Cho Me”, “Duong Ve Nha”, “Con Duong Toi” and “Hao Quang”, created a grand artistic space bursting with emotion.
The audience erupted with emotion to majestic songs about the mining region.
The artistic performances were meticulously staged by more than 1,000 actors and artists who had rehearsed day and night. In particular, the participation of circus performers created impressive and unique acts. In addition, a series of stage effects, smoke, fire and pyrotechnics blended seamlessly with modern performance technology, a K2 sound system and laser lighting and 3D mapping technology, taking the audience into an unforgettable “music feast”.
During the program, the Quang Ninh Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee also called on concertgoers to share in the losses suffered by their fellow citizens in Central Vietnam, thereby making a small contribution to helping local residents soon stabilize their lives.
Residents scanned the code to donate and share the difficulties faced by people in Central Vietnam.
The program lasted 120 minutes and was broadcast live on QTV1 and QTV3, livestreamed on the fanpage of Quang Ninh Newspaper and Radio and Television, and rebroadcast widely by newspapers, radio stations and television stations in provinces and cities across the country.
Following the success of “Ha Long Concert 2025”, the concert “Quang Ninh - Heroic Mining Land” was not only a tribute to miners but also a distinctive tourism and cultural product, helping position the Quang Ninh brand as a land of heritage that is dynamic and creative, while promoting the development of the night-time economy and cultural industries.
