Located more than 10 nautical miles from Hai Ha District, Cai Chien island commune boasts Dau Rong Beach, one of the five beautiful beaches in Quang Ninh. The island has become an alluring destination for travelers who love exploration.
Cai Chien Island – Where the Beauty of Forests and Seas Converges in Quang Ninh
Cai Chien Island is the only island commune in Hai Ha District, recently emerging as a destination for those who cherish the tranquility of forests and seas. Cai Chien is also convenient on the exploration route of the eastern region, heading down from Binh Lieu, or passing through Mong Cai from Ha Long.

The island covers an area of over 2,550 ha, primarily consisting of forests and sea. The natural scenery here remains quite pristine, something not easily found elsewhere. To reach Cai Chien Island, visitors can travel by coach, join a tour, or ride a motorbike to the center of Quang Ha Town, then take the Ghenh Vo ferry to the island.

Every day, there are 3 ferry departures at fixed hours, with each crossing taking around 40 minutes. Visitors wishing to stay overnight on the island can choose homestay accommodations, container houses, or tent rentals. Dozens of families in Cai Chien offer homestay services.

If you do not have personal transportation, you can rent electric carts, motorbikes, or bicycles at guesthouses and homestays for convenient island sightseeing.

Like many other islands in Quang Ninh Province, the natural landscape on Cai Chien Island features beaches such as Van Ca, Cai Chien, and Dau Rong. Among them, Cau Rong Beach is the most popular because tourist services are readily available here.

The sand here is fine and stretches for 2 km, flanked by the sea below and decades-old casuarina forests above, making it ideal for pitching tents, camping, and group gatherings. Visitors can also hire speedboats to cruise the open sea or take a walk among the straight lines of casuarina trees…
