The border milestones are must-visit check-in spots on any Binh Lieu trip. Bordering Fangcheng and Nanning in China, Binh Lieu has numerous milestones located along a winding, rugged border patrol route nearly 50km long. Binh Lieu has 64 border milestones, but 4 crucial ones are 1300, 1302, 1305, and 1327.

In addition to the border milestones, visitors here can challenge themselves to conquer Cao Xiem Peak. Also known as Khau Khoang Peak or Cot Co, Cao Xiem Peak stands at an elevation of 1,429m above sea level and is considered the “roof” of Quang Ninh province. The route from the mountain base to Cao Xiem Peak is over 7km long, making it ideal for combining trekking and camping to immerse yourself in nature.

To enjoy refreshing cool water, combine your trip with exploring Khe Van Waterfall, the highest 3-tier waterfall in Binh Lieu. Khe Van Waterfall is located in Huc Dong Commune, about 12 km from the center of Binh Lieu town. Standing nearly 100m high, the waterfall is divided into 3 tiers, each possessing its own unique beauty.

When traveling to Binh Lieu on the weekend, visitors have the chance to explore the distinctive periodic markets of the ethnic locals. The market gathers on Saturdays and Sundays, when locals from across villages in neighboring communes and districts bring goods and agro-forestry products to sell.
